Georges Seurat, Works on Paper

Georges Seurat, the French post-Impressionist, is famous for his vibrant pointillism paintings of Sunday’s on the seine and Parisians at leisure, however, my favorite works by him, and the ones I believe are the most remarkable, are his drawings on paper. His drawings are dark, haunting, and romantic, and show his brilliant, scientific understanding of light and the way our eyes perceive images.
